Iago revenges against General Othello using lies and manipulation. Iago manipulates Othello who then mistakenly believes that his wife Desdemona is unfaithful without seeking evidence. Othello becomes jealous kills his wife and then kills himself, and this is possible as he is a vulnerable and jealous person who is easy to manipulate. Cassio is assumed to be compulsive and not for being a lieutenant when he loses his reputation.
