Greetings,
Genres could be any form; it could be a blog, an article, a podcast, or anything that can discuss the class theme: College Pressures.
Audience: Think about your audience. It could be 35+ year-olds with children. It could be 15-18-year-old high-school students interested in college. Whatever your audience, make sure you are writing/speaking to them. You already did the brainstorming. Now it is time to think about your audience.
Purpose: Also, what is your purpose? What is leading you to write this besides me making you write it? Ha! Who do you want to speak with or warn about college?
Genre: Now, think of your genre. According to the new Curriculum Learning Objectives, we will write in genres other than a formal essay. Think about what genre you would like to see your writing in that discusses College Pressures. For instance, you can select one of the following genres:
• autobiography/memoir (blog)
• Creative non-fiction (blog, short story, animation)
• Narrative History (blog, podcast)
