Conflict studies have attracted the attention of many scholars. Various scholars have defined it in different ways and it has become evident that there is no unanimity with respect to what constitutes conflict. In an attempt to the more light on the concepts underlying conflict, Jean-Francois Rioux and Vern Neufeld Redekop wrote in the first chapter of their book : Introduction to Conflict Studies: Empirical, Theoretical and Ethical Dimensions. This gives a reflection of this book.
The book authored by Jean-Francois Rioux and Vern Neufeld Redekop (2013) has taken a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of conflict. The book covers an entire range of conflict; it ranges from small scale conflict such as interpersonal to large scale international conflict.
