Science is defined based on other means of understanding the world, such as observation, experimentation, and evidence-based practices and procedures. Other methods that collect information are subjective and involve interpretation and research, as opposed to science, which stresses objectiveness and reproductiveness. It makes for a good model for studying natural occurrences. ABA exemplifies this scientific approach, as its principles are borrowed from natural science to address social issues.
