The use of C++ in a coding project potentiates various benefits and drawbacks. The C++ programming language turns the researcher-created source code into a computer processor and operating system-specific machine code. The C++ programming language is also statically and strongly typed, implying that each variable or object encompasses a type that can never be changed. When an object is declared, its kind must also be stated explicitly to the instructor and the researcher in coding projects. On the contrary, the C++ language potentiates some vulnerability, including user-after-free and buffer overflow. The user-after-free vulnerability is triggered by inappropriate manual memory control. Buffer overflow error is a significant drawback when using C++ in a coding project (Shajarian, 2020). It emerges when the compiler types a significant magnitude of bytes to the array before appraising the particular array’s size.
Visual Studio also has several benefits and drawbacks. It supports many programming languages, including C#, GO, and Typescript. It incorporates an impressive plugin manager that facilitates the ability of the compiler to establish plugins they like and keep them up to date. Visual Studio can also be employed as an effective debugger. On the downside, Visual Studio can be annoying when the researcher writes the code and an error occurs. It also demonstrates initial undesirable compatibility with M1 Macs and shows strange tendencies in collaboration sessions (Steve, 2022).
