United health care is a specialist niche development consultancy that focuses on Privately Financed Health care Developments (Leiyu, 2009). The organization has been involved with over 25 major Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and Public Private Partnership (PPP) Health projects. The organization provides expertise across all areas of PFI\PPP process, including managing bids; managing consortia throughout the design, construction and operational phases of the project and providing PFI consulting services, particularly in the areas of bid management, finance and medical (Leiyu, 2009). The United Healthcare through its family subsidiaries and divisions in the various parts of the world has provided services to approximately 70 million individuals nationwide (Harry, 2010). United Healthcare was ranked the highest employer satisfaction rating for the self insured health plans by Power and Associates (Leiyu, 2009).
Addressing the healthcare needs of the citizens in the next decade
To improve and enhance efficiency in providing health care services to the citizens, the United Healthcare organization is practicing on various improvements to meet this goal. The application of research and technological improvement aids in improving the health care services and quality of life to the citizens (Leiyu, 2009). In the next decade, there will be explosions of new and exciting technology for the treatment of chronic diseases. Through the application of technology, scientists will be able to study the genes of the citizens to create drugs that will be able to prevent specific diseases in the future (Association, 2010). Also, technology will lead to the creation of medical monitor devices which will provide information about one's health to the doctor's office without one making trips to the doctor. This will be a great achievement in the health of the citizens for any abnormal condition will be detected in early stages before the condition worsens. In the next decade, the field of health issue will be improved by use of keeping electronic medical record, coming up with health reforms and establishing personal health care services to the patients (Massimo, 2010).

Strategic planning is helpful in determining where the organization is going over the next few years; how it will get there and how know whether it got there or not (Harry, 2010). The health care organization, to achieve its future goals has to define its strategic plans by addressing the needs and resources, the target audience, logically connect the strategies to the needs and desired outcomes and finally measuring the effectiveness of the process and the outcome (Leiyu, 2009). In planning, the organization should put their vision and mission as their main points of reference and this will lead to it obtaining its objectives. For instance the United Health organizations has a vision of increasing its area of operation in the next decade and improve the health standards of millions of patients, this will only be achieved after proper planning and organization of all of its resources and ensuring they run effectively (Massimo, 2010).
