Understanding KPIs
A KPI (key performance indicator) is a measurable value that shows how effectively an organization is achieving the key business objectives. KPIs assist enterprises in gauging their achievement in reaching their targets. They have vital importance in strategic planning and execution. The attention on what matters most is helped by them as they provide a focus for strategic and operational improvement. In most cases, the mission of a healthcare organization is to facilitate patient care that is of good quality and safe, as well as improve patients’ health outcomes.
All three goals are aligned with this mission. The first goal is to improve the overall patient journey to reach a patient satisfaction score equal to or exceeding 90%. The KPI for the first goal is the patient satisfaction score. A healthcare facility should always focus on patient satisfaction.
