Moment of Discrimination
The job market and job application process are filled with discrimination. I have been a victim of discrimination in the job application process immediately after completing my undergraduate degree. I did not want to be idle after completing school, and I decided to apply for any job that I could do. A friend forwarded an application link for casual work at a processing plant, and I carefully submitted my application. I was called for an interview within the same week. The interview took place on a single day, and I had an opportunity to interact with almost every interviewee. The interview panel was overjoyed but did not contact me afterwards. I was called for the job one month later, after the other qualified interviewees had been employed. I later realized that the company did not want to employ me because of my education
