Assignment Introduction: The human right to health means that everyone has the right to the highest possible standard of wellness and physical and mental health care. This right includes equitable access to all medical services, sanitation, adequate food, healthy working conditions, and a clean environment. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines the social determinants of health as “conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age.” Assignment Directions: For this assignment, you will be preparing for a mock debate. When preparing for a debate, you must identify the arguments on both sides of the issue, for and against, regardless of your personal opinion on the topic. It is important to know the arguments of your opponents so you are better prepared to support your side. Using this planning template, prepare for a debate where the topic is health as a human right.
