Thematic Mini-Lesson: Reading Student Name Institution Professor Name Course Date THEMATIC MINI LESSON (30 pts) LBS 310 Assignment Overview: Designing meaningful oral language, writing, and reading experiences are important avenues for developing culturally sustaining teaching. These experiences support children in learning about their and each other’s families, backgrounds, languages, identities, interest, and so much more. For this assignment, you will plan and implement three mini lessons: oral language, writing and reading. Each lesson should only be maximum 10-15 minutes long and is appropriate for young students and that is in line with best practices studied in class. 1 Pick a Theme: 1 You may refer to Reading, Writing, and Talk Supplemental Resource pages 17-20. 2 Write 3 lesson plans: You must write one lesson plan for oral language, writing and reading that connect to the theme you chose.
