Article Review Author’s Name The Institutional Affiliation Course Number and Name The Instructor Assignment Due Date Introduction This exercise aims to evaluate the research findings and practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is a robust approach for behavioral therapy and engineering among patients with cognitive or physical impairments. Practitioners utilize patient-centric and efficient techniques or interventions to support the social learning, psychological improvement, and behavioral development of patients, particularly children, with different psychological conditions. This activity will explore, investigate, and analyze seven critical research works in the ABA discipline. The examiner will identify core findings and methodological approaches scholars implement in diverse settings. ABA is a scientific intervention in behavioral psychology to understand and empathize with patients for long-term transformation. Discussion Article-1 The first article appraises the research applied by Richardson et al. (2017), examining the considerable effect that sight-word instructions have on behavioral development among children with autism. The authors indicated that the association with sight words was ignored in earlier research works in ABA intervention. Nevertheless, this study applied the therapeutic intervention beyond the experiment by dividing it into two phases. The first examination was on autistic children and their interaction with texts in pictures. These results support that children cannot remember much text, as they struggle with recognizing pictures (Richardson et al., 2017). The second involved a matching exercise where research enabled researchers to motivate children to read the correct texts accompanied by pictures. The researchers provided prompts that improved the behavioral results of the participants (Richardson et al., 2017). In the matching task, the researchers placed specific keywords, such as boat, baby, fork, and frog, to gauge the rate of appropriate responses. The results validate that autistic children could enhance behavioral performance through maximizing visual memory. Article-2 Study two incorporated the effect of matrix training to enhance behavioral changes in autistic children using generative language. The researchers clarified the concept of matrix training as an organization of important items to develop concentrated skills of childhood through the use of the two axes. The research objective was to train ASD children when using the combination of nouns and verbs with ABA principles of generalizable competencies of stimulus, response, and combination (Frampton et al., 2016). The results verify that matrix training enhanced the performance of autistic children since they acquire new language patterns. To prove the efficiency of matrix training to practitioners working in the classroom and clinical practice, no direct training was conducted on such words as cat jumping and horse sleeping (Frampton et al., 2016). Therefore, the study analyzes the ABA aspects of untrained situations to validate the practical considerations for practitioners. Article-3 Bloom et al. (2019) investigated the comparative influence of song lyrics and prose self-instruction on developing novel skills among third-grade children. This research applies the motivating operations ABA principle to measure the engagement and skill acquisition outcomes among children (Bloom et al., 2019). The study selected four children to participate in the experiment for recording the response chain of the behavioral sequence. The r...
