Integration is the fundamental feature of the Allies model. Rather than concerning psychology and Christianity or them as incompatible, this model facilitates the combination of knowledge from both spheres. Psychological theories and Christian principles when merged together, enable the therapist to have a more complete knowledge of human nature and behavior (Entwistle, 2021). Furthermore, the Allies model articulates the fact that there is a need for academic psychology and religious Christianity to work as partners. The Allies practitioners carve a path that seeks to unify their faith in their profession. This is beneficial to human nature, as it expands the understanding of the person, and improves the quality of the professional practice. The Two Books Model The concept of the “two books” of the Alliance model is the core of psychology and Christianity intersection.
