A reflection paper on human resource function Human resource is the most important resource in an organization. Regardless of the position or task one holds there is always a need for human resource function. This need has made human resource management so crucial in organizations today. It is a function performed in organizations that ensures the goals of the organization and the people are achieved. It came to my understanding that the human resource function contributes around 80% of the organizations values. This means that if the people in an organization are not well managed then the organization cannot survive. It is out of human resource that employee’s best is achieved in favor of the organization, thus contributing to the success of the business. I came to realize that Organization’s goals are always achieved through people. I realized that the role of human resources revolves in an employee’s history within the organization. By this I mean; how an individual becomes part of the organization, his full stay in the organization and the time he leaves the organization. Therefore, looking at the lifecycle of an employee within an organization outlines the whole function of human resource. It involves three major areas; recruitment, improvement of compensation package and planning for the organization. Recruitment is the most crucial role of human resource department.
