Summary
The article’s main objective is to inform the public of the benefits of exercising together in a group, as reflected in the title. Studies suggest that this increases one group member’s motivation and results in a domino effect, where the other group members mimic the motivation of the single group member. Aside from this, group workout significantly improves the members’ endorphin levels, making them feel great about what they are doing, which further motivates them to do the same thing repeatedly. This also promotes competitiveness and creativity, where one group member aims to become as good as the others and allows them to diversify their workouts, resulting in a holistic health benefit. Hence, group workout creates a positive environment that benefits individuals and society (Steinhilber, 2017).
