Review the essays that you submitted, including the rough drafts.

Essay prompt:

For this open-ended essay assignment I am asking you to reflect on your growth during this term.

Please take some time to think about how you approached the tasks this session. What obstacles did you face? How did you meet those obstacles? What kind of support did you have?

When you think about the readings (both assigned and the research you found on your own), what did you learn? Were there readings that affirmed your ideas about a particular subject? Did the readings cause you to think about things in a new way?

When you look back at your essays, what are you most proud of? What do you think you would do differently if you had more time?

Feel free to pose your own reflective questions to yourself to answer.

As you write this essay, be sure to give specific examples. Of course, use your own voice as you write.

English Composition allowed me to reach more excellent ends as it helped me mold my knowledge, experiences in reading and writing, and opinions, proving that academic growth can be enhanced when the student tries to achieve objectives. Looking back at the beginning of the semester, I have set my objectives that I must attain by the end of the semester. These include increasing my English language proficiency, improving my analytic and writing skills, and incorporating various ideologies to mine. The developments were a testament to the unending pursuit of knowledge gained through academic institutions. My efforts became notable accomplishments, as will be discussed in this essay.

English Composition is my Waterloo, which has been challenging since I entered the educational realm. Primarily, writer's block has been my enemy as it hindered my progress, making the long hours of waiting to have an excellent creative and analytic aspect of my brain exhaustive. This is primarily due to my difficulties in assimilating information and lack of initiative in reading comprehensively. Mainly, I need help understanding classic literature due to the extensive information and vocabulary. I had to use a thesaurus most of the time, which is a daunting task, as it prevents efficiency—connecting my ideas cohesively within paragraphs
