The conclusive aim of argumentative writing is for the author to persuade a given audience to understand the opposite side of an argument and start supporting a new idea. There are different argumentative appeals that writers can use to convince their audience, and they include logos, pathos and ethos. Every writer has a specific appeal that works out for them when doing argumentative writing. In this essay, the appeal that I find most effective will be discussed.
In most cases, when writing an argumentative essay, using the three appeals is highly recommended, although I find the use of logos appeals most effective.
