The French declaration of the rights of man and of the citizen was formulated by the National assembly in 1789. The declaration was centered on the premise that the ignorance, neglect, and lack of respect for human rights was the cause of problems within the public, including corruption within the government. The declaration was structured into 17 sections, which focus on reminding the people within the Social body of their imperative rights and responsibilities. Additionally, it provided for respect and commitment of legislative and executive powers with the intent of addressing the problems faced by the citizens to ensure each of them remained happy. The formulation of this declaration was influenced by the French revolution (Ludwikowski 445).
