Based on the table, some of our household food wastes are food and condiments consumed daily like bananas, fish, meat, sauces. The others are occasional food types like cake and processed foods. A large fraction of the reasons they were discarded, spoiled with molds, and deconcentrated mixture are because they were past their expiration dates. The reason caused the leftovers is because there are only two members in my family that cannot consume all of them within the best taste date. On the other hand, we did not preserve them correctly, considering some of them are highly perishable. Fortunately, the discarded foods were still in small quantities compared to the national statistics because we made plans while shopping at the grocery. We are never over-buying too many vegetables and meat because these foods cannot stand for so long.
