1. What business-level strategy issue is being dealt with in this example (10%)
This is an external environment analysis. The current world is facing a pandemic, which threatened to reduce crowds and social events. Movies and theater halls depend on crowds to launch their plays, make money, and grow their industry. External forces are way above the business to handle and solve unless they reduce their effects. In the current situation, businesses are identifying all the potential remedies. It affected the social trends that the movie industry thrived on. As a result, the theaters have to choose what can keep their audiences active, including family movies.
2. Assess how effectively the firm (or firms) is (are) dealing with this strategic issue. (30%)  
The pandemic handling called for the proper utilization of the available resources, capabilities, and core competencies. Having shut all the businesses, the reopening of the theater in May was not a leisurely cruise, as the management had to grumble with the best alternative to earn them more customers. First was the adoption of the available resource to keep their customers, selling popcorns and moves. These were done with additional private theater rooms for people who could explore video and computer games. This kept part of the population active, but not entirely. They had to explore the use of their only screens to show some movies. Still, the movie's choice to show was an issue before they landed on the family movies. These would give a competitive advantage and boost the struggling business during these perilous times.
