The two businesses Honda Motor Company, Ltd., and Capgemini SE have had their business activities changed over the years due to the continuous development and change in technology. The two companies have also responded differently to the challenges which have been brought about by the technology changes. The changes and development in technology have led to the processes of automation, digitization, and people management in workplaces (David, 2015, p.17). Honda Motor Company, Ltd. and Capgemini SE have had to deal with issues of automation and digitalization to address the numerous changes in the business world, where many products and services have been automated and also digitalize, through the Big Tech Economy (Arogyaswamy, 2020, p.6).
The modern business environment has been characterized by the increase in the adoption of technology n most business activities. As a result, many companies have embraced the use of technology to enhance their business growth, therefore, lowering job opportunities (Croteau & Bergeron, 2001, p.81). With the increased market demand for better products, many companies have tried to seek special skills from employees, which most of the time fails to meet the desired market needs. The need for better and efficient employee management systems by companies has pushed Capgemini SE to automate most of its activities ensuring that its systems can support their clients from any part of the world. The need for specialist skills in the production of motor vehicles for its customers has pushed the Honda Motor Company, Ltd., to automate most of its production processes, to meet the needs of their customers. The need to adopt most of the new technologies by many customers has also forced companies like Capgemini SE to ensure that its processes are automated, to advance to the next and better customer service, to ensure that there is adequate security of the customer's data (Ribeiro & Björkman, 2017, p.3822). The availability of Big Data has led to the development of better innovations and investments for the two companies. With many customers demanding products and services which would give the highest level of satisfaction, Honda Motor Company, Ltd. and Capgemini SE have been forced to adopt the best Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, to help them to enhance their business efficiency, ensure that there is the improvement of productivity for the company, and ensure that the service platforms and automobile products produced are of the highest performance (Makridakis, 2017, p.55). The two companies have also been forced to adopt the use of Cloud Technology to ensure that their production processes are more agile, well collaborated, efficient, and scalable, as a way of reducing costs for production for the two companies. The two companies have also been able to adopt the use of the new energy supplies and technologies, as a way of ensuring that there are efficient business development and growth (Ang & McKibbin, 2007, p.225).
The process of automation has ensured that the companies have performed their production processes with the least human assistance. The companies have embraced the use of machines as a way of controlling most of their operations and production processes, through the use of machinery with the minimum human intervention (Clark, 1994, p.309). The advancements in technology have led to the development of high-level multi-variable algorithms that have helped in the development of better systems of ensuring that customers get the required services and products from the companies. The companies have, therefore, ensured that they have embraced and sued the most recent, modern, and improvement automated machines to help in the production and the sustainability of the production processes. As stated in the control theory, the companies have ensured that they rely on the modern dynamical systems in engineering to develop the best models for controlling the production systems (Manzini, 1983, p.432). The companies have developed the best control systems through the best control actions to ensure there is control sustainability. The companies have developed controller monitors, which have enhanced the controlled process variable (PV) to ensure efficient coordination with the reference or setpoint (SP). Honda Motor Company, Ltd. and Capgemini SE have embraced the use of mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic as well as computers to ensure that the automaton processes is achieved and efficient.
The process of digitization has forced the companies to adopt adequately and ensure that they produce goods and services which reflect on the needs of the customers (BarNir et al., 2003, p.805). Through the process of digitization, the companies have ensured that their systems of transmission and production reflect on the actual needs of the customer. The two companies have adopted the art of artificial intelligence (AI) in their manufacturing and service delivery processes. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in their manufacturing and service delivery has been important for the companies since they have been able to use the systems to check the quality of the services that they provide to the people, predict any chances of failure and predict the maintenance process for the products. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) has also helped in the development of generative designs and improves the business environment for better performances (Mata et al., 2018, p.55). The adoption of Industry 4.0 Technologies was a better method of ensuring that the two companies, although in two different sectors, they had to ensure that they were able to meet the current market changes to enhance their productivity potentials. The Industry 4.0 Technologies that the two companies had to ensure that they adopted include; The Internet of Things (IoT), The industrial internet of things (IIoT), Cyber-physical systems (CPS), Smart manufacturing, smart factories, HYPERLINK "/blog/what-is-a-smart-factory-/" \t "_blank" \o "An Explanation of Smart Factories" Cloud computing, Cognitive computing, and Artificial intelligence (Frank et al., 2019, p.20). The Internet of Things (IoT) help companies to produce better products and services for their customers, through the development of better computing devices, enhanced mechanical and digital machines with unique identifiers (UIDs). The Internet of Things (IoT) also helps the companies to transmit data without any human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. The Internet of Things (IoT) relies on the use of web-enabled smart devices, which include; processors, sensors as well as communication hardware (Gubbi et al., 2013, p.1650). The Internet of Things (IoT) helped the companies to have more control over the products they produce better products and services. The use of the IoT gave the companies the opportunities for companies to automate most of their production processes and reduce labor costs. The process also helped in the reduction in the levels of waste produced and also enhance the delivery process.
