The Impact of Megatrends on Supply Chain Management
Change is inevitable, but it helps to be knowledgeable about the different megatrends and drivers of change that will significantly impact different industries and careers in the future. The five megatrends that I will discuss are environmental issues, urbanization, technological advancements, a shift in global power, and social change.
Environmental issues such as climate change will impact the supply chain management because, in order to survive, the businesses need to adapt in being conscious of emissions and resources and strive towards a sustainable system for the financial aspect and success of the business and the public’s good as well (Linthorst & de Waal, 2020).
