Essay Instructions:
For this week’s discussion, please share your thoughts on the experiences of African Americans in the United States. Here are some ideas to get you started: Discuss how the effects of slavery continue to be felt in the United States. In what specific ways do Black Americans feel the effects of slavery? Is there anything you feel strongly enough about that you would take part in illegal action (civil disobedience)? What would it take to motivate you take part in illegal action? What would prevent you from taking part in illegal action? There is much debate about the effects of interracial adoption of children, especially in terms of the effect on identity.
