This paper describes social justice and shows how it impacts society. In addition, it will elaborate on the correlation between the articles used to help in synthesizing the concept. A proper understanding of social justice might help to address multiple issues that individuals encounter in their daily lives. In some instances, people are denied their rights, which is an act of social injustice. However, this paper examines social justice and depicts ways in which it affects individuals in society.
In particular, social justice entails equitable and fair distribution of resources, privileges, and opportunities in society without any discrimination against a specific group of people (Mollenkamp, 2022). In other terms, it refers to the proper administration of laws in society regardless of individuals’ racial, religious, cultural, gender, ethnic, or sexual orientation differences. Social justice ensures that all people are treated equally and that they have equal access to resources, such as health and housing. This concept was established in the 19th century in Europe during the Industrial Revolution. Besides, its primary objective was to create egalitarian societies to remedy capitalistic exploitations, particularly of human labor (Pachamama Alliance, 2022). Social justice advocacy usually emphasizes property, distribution of wealth, and capital.
