Tackling structural racism would entail multi-dimensional legal and systemic changes, involving public awareness and education campaigns, policy changes, equitable resource distribution equity, community engagement, implicit bias training programs, data collection and analysis, and cultural competency training programs. Public Awareness and Education Campaigns: Extensive educational campaigns can help raise the knowledge base about structural racism. The program can be introduced in schools, communities, and workplaces to promote appreciation of and harmony in an ever-diversifying culture. Policy Changes: Ensure that policy changes that speak to the elimination of practices of socially ingrained, institutionalized discrimination are taken up as advocacy. It means looking at laws of housing, job employment, education, and criminal justice that do not work for everyone (Brown et al., 2019). Resource Distribution Equity: Provide ways to distribute resources and opportunities equitably. This allows an intervention designed for communities of color to purposely address health, education, housing, and economic development disparities. Community Engagement: Work with community organizations and grassroots movements that include targeted communities in the process of decision-making and provide a voice for underrepresented groups when discussing and working on structural racism policy. Implicit Bias Training: Instituting necessary training programs for government officials, police officers, as well as employees of public institutions to gain the capability of solving the issue of implicit bias in the workplace (Noon, 2018).
