Body language and expression of words are as effective in communication as use of words, sometimes even more effective than words. Non verbal communication expresses sincerity and indicates emotional mindset shown by the fluidity of speech and choice of words. The town hall meeting format provided an essential atmosphere for nonverbal displays by President Obama and Mitt Romney.
President Obama is a confident and an accomplished speaker, but this did help him succeed in the first presidential debate because of poor nonverbal communication. However, during the town hall meeting, President Obama displayed excellent nonverbal communication by focus on confidence and a balanced aggressiveness.
