Hannula, L., Kaunonen, M., & Tarkka, M. (2007). A systematic review of professional support interventions for breastfeeding. Journal of Clinical Nursing, 0(0), 1132-1143.
Hannula et. al (2011)did a systematic review of professional support interventions for breastfeeding. The goals being to give a description of how breastfeeding is professionally sustained during pregnancy at maternity hospitals and during the postnatal period and to discover how successful interventions are in supporting breastfeeding. This is because in many countries, the rates for breastfeeding remain so low. Studies which have been done some fail and others become successful and therefore it`s better to find combination of support. Reviewers analyzed various articles. They conclude that the best way to build up a helpful involvement is to use various techniques of breastfeeding support concurrently and in variety. Use of Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative as well as hands off teaching in combination with peer support and encouragement will be effective (Hannula et al .2007).

It is concluded that the use of pacifier may just be an indicator of breast feeding complexities or connection with less confidence in mothering but slightly not an exact reason for early weaning. (Huang et al. 2011).
