One of the issues facing the national security of the United States of America is the fact that North Korea has made nuclear weapons which they threaten to use on the US. The atomic bombs have been tested, and therefore, this means that it is an imminent threat (Pollack, 2017). Among the solutions that the US has is to protect their nation or negotiate with North Korea to ensure that they do not use their weapons on any part of the world because they can lead to severe damages (Rinehart, Nikitin & Chanlett-Avery, 2016). Protecting its nation would require much strategizing to ensure that the US does not remain vulnerable to attacks from North Korea. This can be done through the creation of a strong army ready to fight for the nation in the event of a war. The US will also need to be at peace with other nations across the world so that they can be their allies in the event whereby a war broke out. On the other hand, negotiating with North Korea would result in the creation of unnecessary demands that the US would not be willing to adhere to.
Therefore, given the fact that the safety of the American citizens comes fast, then it would only be logical to choose the option of doing whatever it takes to protect the Americans. This means that ensuring the national security would be the best option to choose. Also, the federal government will have the responsibility of authorizing the release of the funds that would be required to ensure that there is national security (Leachman, Albares, Masterson & Wallace, 2016). Among such activities are the training or military officers and the purchase of weapons. As well, the state government will help in the decision-making process to come up with the best methods that the nation can use to protect itself from North Korea (Cha & Kang, 2018)...
