The books of Isaiah and Jeremiah are essential to the Old Testament as they speak of God's judgment and hope during difficult times in Israel and Judah's history (Arnold & Beyer, 2015). These prophets talked about the sins of their countries and gave details about what God would do to punish them. Furthermore, their writings still speak to Christians today, teaching them important lessons about morality and spirituality.
