For this discussion, you are going to focus on operationally defining a target behavior as well as identifying the appropriate method of measurement and assessment. Do an internet search for a video of a potential target behavior. You may search in broad terms such as "crying", "tantrum", etc. Once you have identified a video, include a link to your chosen video in your initial post. Provide an operational definition of the target behavior. Identify the type of measurement that you feel is best to record the level of occurrence of your target behavior. Measure the behavior using this method and indicate the level of occurrence of behavior that you have recorded.

A tantrum is defined as a child exhibiting intense emotional outbursts with associated verbal and physical behaviors. The verbal behaviors include shouting, cursing, and/or crying; the physical behaviors include hitting, kicking, biting, head-banging, lying on the floor, covering the face with hands, and/or other non-aggressive behaviors (Lang et al., 2019). The behaviors associated with a tantrum are often motivated by a child's frustration, anger, or fear. The duration of a tantrum can range from seconds to minutes, and may increase in intensity over time. The child may also display regression in their behavior, such as becoming clingier or wanting to be held more often (Farazia Rezki Putri & Latipah, 2022).
The best type of measurement for a tantrum is by measuring the frequency of tantrums. It is important to observe the behaviors of the child in detail (Farazia Rezki Putri & Latipah, 2022). The observer should record the date and time each tantrum occurs and its duration.
