The concept of self-efficacy was created by the eminent psychologist Albert Bandura. I think this is a useful theoretical framework. One’s self-efficacy can be defined as one’s belief in one’s capabilities to achieve desired outcomes and actions. This approach stresses self-assurance and the confidence that one’s efforts will eventually pay off (Wolf, 2022). Motive and a person’s perception of their efficacy are explored here, which is fascinating.
Students who have faith in their academic abilities are likelier to show the drive and focus needed to put in the work required to improve their grades and test scores. However, if people doubt their talents, they may be less driven to work towards their goals, which could slow their progress (Amanvermez et al., 2022). My personal reaction to stress is different from that of most people. However, I can provide some thoughts on how the study of psychology could address this issue. Mindfulness meditation, deep breathing techniques, and cognitive reframing are some stress-reduction and well-being-boosting tools that can be used.
