It pursues its objective by analyzing different research articles, in order to achieve the greatest possible overview of literature, recognizing the shortcomings and the contributions of current studies to date.
Various research studies offer useful contributions in the field of mental health. Colizzi, Lasalvia, and Ruggeri (2020) stress the need to adopt a multi-disciplinary and trans-diagnostic perspective in youth mental health care. They say early intervention and prevention policies are key to tackling mental health problems. The authors stress the importance of a multi-dimensional model that takes into account the intricate relationships between biopsychosocial and etiological factors. Fried & Robinaugh (2020) concentrate on the virtues of embracing complexity in mental health research, and they also emphasize the network nature of mental health disorders. Fried & Robinaugh (2020) advocate for a broader understanding and intervention that takes into account multiple mental health-related factors.
Algumaei et al. (2025) consider the ethical aspects of AI-based mental health chatbots and highlight the scarcity of culturally-informed, ethically grounded digital therapeutics. They argue the importance of flexible and ethical frameworks to support the effectiveness and appropriateness of these technologies. Fazel and Soneson (2025) analyze the splintering of cut in health care for young people, addressing systemic waste within health-care systems. The two studies are vital because they underscore the economic and social costs of these inadequacies, including the placement of young people in adult wards.
