Your Response The program I selected to obtain a degree is Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Walden University because it is consistent with my self-employment objective and career aspiration. What inspired me was that though I graduated as an English teacher, I further explored how to assist people with behavioral issues during my time as an RBT. Although it raised my awareness and made me realize I could positively affect others functioning in social businesses, I wanted a more significant impact on individuals with behavioral requirements – I needed to become a BCBA. Walden University's BCBA program was duly structured to provide me with the necessary knowledge that can be applied practically in my future career, which is essential (Adkins, 2022). It aligns with my purpose of progressing in the behavior analysis profession and positively impacting my society, which is one of Walden's value systems. The program fits me well compared to the others for myself, my family, and the entire community. It allows me to obtain additional skills and more profound knowledge that will help me improve the quality of service provided to clients. For my family, it refers to a shift to a better standard of living, which means attaining efficient job standards for better living. To my community, the skills I will gain will enable me to improve the lives of persons with behavioral difficulties, bringing more positive change within society. Walden's emphasis on creating change and its application nature guarantees that I can effect change in my field. However, I foresee two significant challenges in completing my degree: some conditions may include time constraints and financial factors. Managing working hours, attending classes, and caring for the family can be pretty stressful. To overcome this, I must set a programmed timetable covering time for studies, work, and family time. Using such tactics as prioritization of work and goal setting will be critical in enabling the efficient utilization of time. Also, I will ask my instructors and fellow students for assistance since Walden promotes interaction and collaboration with other students and teachers. Lack of resources is also an issue because tuition is not cheap, and many students wish to further their education. In response, I will look at scholarships and possibly hunt for jobs with flexible working hours so they do not interfere with my time in class. These issues are entirely understandable because of the complicated nature of support services at Walden, such as academic advising and financial aid counseling.
