The theories of leadership and management have tried to understand the relationship and the role of leadership and management in achieving organizational success throughout history. In deconstructing leadership and management, one can establish that the two are, in an actual sense, interdependent and a foundation for organizational effectiveness. Leadership is typically considered visionary and inspirational, making exciting missions’ strategic goals and inspiring teams to work together towards shared objectives. The management is all about operational efficiency, ordering the resources, and ensuring the tasks are carried out according to the previously created procedure. Yet, with organizations encountering increasingly complex and unpredictable environments, the distinction between leadership and management has become less distinct.
