As a new manager at Learn-E-Now, you manage a team of four members, including yourself. Unfortunately, CEO Zenobia Xanthopoulos has been notified that your team is struggling with team dysfunction. Often team issues in international situations are attributed to culture or diversity. In some instances, this is not the case. After speaking with the team, the following five areas surfaced as root causes for the team’s dysfunctions (Lencioni, 2002):
Inattention to results
Avoidance of accountability
Lack of commitment
Fear of conflict
Absence of trust
After reviewing the Lencioni infographic and the video, develop possible solutions as related to Lencioni’ s five dysfunctions in a three- to four-page paper.
In your paper,
Define inattention to results, avoidance of accountability, lack of commitment, fear of conflict, and absence of trust.
Synthesize how each of the areas listed above affect the team.

Team Dysfunction
Effective teams might be an outstanding asset to developing a competitive advantage for an organization. Effectual teams are critical, which motivates most of the largest firms in the world to invest a lot of resources and time in their team to evaluate what a successful team comprises. A team can fail due to infighting, bickering, or failure of accountability, which are irritating and scary to watch. As a result, Patrick Lencioni wrote about “Five Dysfunctions of a Team” in his book in 2002 and how to overcome them. This essay reflects on the five dysfunctions of a team, their effects on the team, and remedies to address them.
Inattention to results refers to a situation where attention is focused on different things rather than the company's objectives. Lencioni pinpointed two chief distractions (individual and team status) that lead to inattention to results. Team status involves team members who are contented to be amongst a given group, which is enough for them. Conversely, Individual status comprises being self-focused and concentrating on individual career possibilities instead of the team's wellness. Individuals neglecting team accountability fail to challenge each other about errors or actions, which could harm the whole group. This dysfunction comprises responsible leaders and partners for each other by retelling one another about commitment agreed upon in the presence of agreement or violations of behaviors (Putri, 2020). They do not put much pressure on the team members to move forward; they also fail to question their peer's actions or ideas and do not fail to hold each other accountable to high standards.
