From my perspective, performance appraisal is a compelling aspect of organizational management. It is critical in determining the level of productivity among employees. This helps management identify appropriate employees for promotions and retrenchment. Considering that most employees aim for promotions and salary increments, they would be motivated to work harder to be rewarded. Performance appraisal is adequate, considering that the organization would aim at retaining motivated employees to enhance the organization's growth (Bayo-Moriones et al., 2020). Management would also be able to identify poor-performing employees and develop strategies to deal with the issue. Training may be offered to them to improve their performance in the organization. Performance appraisal is effective as it improves the general performance of an organization.
