In the twentieth century, leaders did not embrace inclusivity; the traits were more of control, supremacy, and a powerful process. This is evident during Jack's tenure at GE. Globalization and technological advancements have significantly influenced this evolution in leadership traits. They have necessitated a change in leadership to more collaborative and inspirational leadership. Mary Barra has adapted to these changes to align with the changing world.
The digital manufacturing revolution and studies on these characteristics affected these qualities, focusing on resilience, swiftness, and invention. To cope with the evolving world, leaders need to direct tense, complex, inconsistent, and vogue environments, which requires an integration of traditional leadership strengths and contemporary skills like digital knowledge, compassion, and inclusivity. As these traits continue to change, companies are embracing inclusive and sustainable leadership techniques.
