The fact that a majority of Investment Corporations fail in one way or another, and that a good amount of money is lost in the projects each year indicates that there is a serious need to improving the manner in which these projects are managed. The reality of the matter is that past experiences can be a very effective tool to enhancing the success of the organization’s projects. A retrospective is one of the re-known methods for evaluating the performance of a project, extracting the learned lessons and recommending on what should be done in the future. This method is based on three aspects, whether the projects are timed, whether it came on the budgeted cost and whether the requirements were considered. Other considerations include; whether the services or products in actual sense were employed, whether the projects provided any lesson for the organization and whether the project enhanced the efficiency of the organization’s value (Nelson, 2005). This paper will employ retrospective method in evaluating OPIC.
