The negligence of the medical practitioners or misunderstanding between the patients and the nurses are the main causes of the hospital errors which may negatively impact the health of a patient. in the case of Mrs. Degnan, there was a complete misunderstanding between the nurses and the patient and amongst he nurses themselves. The nurses were not passionate about their duties and were unwilling to perform their assignments as required. The nurses simply wanted the doctor to find the patient up and were not willing to help the patient get up as required by the medical ethics. There were two factors that contributed to the patient`s fall. First, the nurse was very arrogant to the patient and thought that the patient was becoming a bother by refusing to comply with their instructions. On the other hand, the nurse had been involved in a heated argument with a fellow nurse and this spilled through to the patient`s room where she handled the patient carelessly thus ...
