Challenges in Software Development for Wireless Devices Software development has been challenging over the recent decades. The world is facing the global changes that are wiping out the old technology and replacing it with new technology which does not last for long. This means that innovators must keep in toes with the current global developments (Raychaudhuri & Gerla, 2011). Software developers in powerful systems have enjoyed unlimited processing power and memory virtually; this concept has changed with time with the technological innovations driving at mobile wireless devices developed from the limited resources. Mobile wireless devices are characterized with small processing power, small screen size and small memory size (Raychaudhuri & Gerla, 2011). Developers of the mobile wireless devices face challenges resonating with the environmental factors that are posed by the mobile wireless devices. Environmental challenges resonate with the inadequate wireless network facilities and mobility challenges (Turban E., et. al., 2008). Wireless networks have indicated that the bandwidth is lower with less reliability considered to the wired networks. The challenges faced in the wireless devices indicates that the software developers must be prepared to address the issues arising from processing power, user interface, exception handling and memory management (Raychaudhuri & Gerla, 2011). A number of consumers of the wireless devices have been accustomed to the flexibility and power of the larger systems. Research has indicated that high end corporate users and the average consumers are after applications which are reliable, simple and intuitive.
