Reflective Journal

Now is the time to think about how you will continue to pursue personal growth and lifelong learning, and what that means to you.

Many individuals use electronic portfolios to collect, store, and highlight their academic and professional accomplishments. Portfolios go beyond traditional resumes and transcripts to document and provide concrete examples of achievement and specific skills. Here are several examples of how electronic portfolios

Example 2

For your final reflection, you will start (or add to) an electronic portfolio that can be used to demonstrate to others the knowledge, skills, and abilities you have developed throughout your academic journey as you earned your degree. The goal is to demonstrate clearly how your strengths, interests, abilities, and values will be used for career and professional success.

This final assignment will integrate the information you have learned throughout your degree program, and highlight the products and achievements of which you are most proud of. Your ePortfolio should be an example of your multimedia and writing skills. You will create an ePortfolio in Portfolium, Wakelet, or another platform of your choice that can serve as a foundation for your ongoing work.

There are no set rules about what to include in your digital portfolio. It can be as broad and comprehensive as you like. For this assignment, however, your electronic portfolio needs to include the following components in order to earn maximum points:

Welcome. Summarize who you are and what can be found in your ePortfolio.

Career objective/profile. Write a specific and clear statement.

Résumé. Summarize your education, achievements, and work experience. Include detailed information about your skills. You can keep this simple for this assignment.

Artifacts. You should include your projects for this class. All other products are optional, but this might be a good time to collect your samples of videos, presentations, papers, and letters of recommendation.

Share the link to your ePortfolio in your Wakelet journal as a final entry.

Evaluation

This assignment is due Sunday by 11:59 PM EST. Please submit your Wakelet reflection as a URL. You will need to be sure your thread is unlisted. Once you complete your entry you can click on the Share button and copy the link for submission. All of your reflections are graded at this time using the attached rubric. All journal assignments combined are worth 20% of your final course grade.
