Revising is a task that gives a writer an opportunity to visualize his/her works from another perspective to identify and correct mistakes thus leading to an improved version of the original work. Anson & Schwegler (2008) argue that there are techniques that can facilitate the entire process of revising to help the writer to provide an essay that is better than it was prior to such a process. One of the techniques is focusing on the big picture where the student or writer should channel his ideas to ensure that they reflect the actual issues that have to be tackled. It means that the thesis of the writing has to be kept in mind to help the paper to achieve its mandate that was formulated from the onset.
