Attending My Internship as a Volunteer and Working Collaboratively
Attending my internship as a volunteer and working collaboratively with other team members was increasingly critical for supplementing my coursework. Overgaard (2019) specifies that an internship, whether through volunteering or being paid for work, is relevant since one can develop their professional capacity and reinforce their personality. Moreover, the internship can open doors to extra crucial opportunities (Vetitnev et al., 2019). Therefore, deciding to attend the short volunteer program and investing in it grants me the most comprehensive opportunity spectrum when looking for and applying for jobs after completing my studies. The one-week outlook of the activities I provided at the internship site strengthened whatever I learned in class and increased the skills I should have, especially after the coursework was complete. Mainly, I was part of a team with duties that included recording specific data using the computer, attending meetings to discuss issues related to the organization's operations, and finishing other small assigned tasks.
