A Meeting on Broadway Your Name Subject and Section Professor’s Name Date One ordinary day, around ten in the morning, beneath the everlasting serenade of honking horns and hurried footsteps, I was walking around the corner of Broadway, near its intersection with West 49th Street in Manhattan, when I overheard not that I wanted to eavesdrop, the couple in front of me started fighting over finding a restaurant that will suite both of their tastes at the time. Of course, the way I see it, they both said silly words that could hurt one another. Since I had all the time in the world at the time, I followed these couple because I was mesmerized by how people used their time and energy over unimportant matters while I was here, having the first free time I had in four consecutive months. They entered a coffee shop and settled on an empty table near the entrance. Meanwhile, I stopped my nosiness and decided to spend some time alone in this café as I realized that life is like a howling wind, and everything will get along if we stand in its way, even with encounters from within the labyrinths of the busy street and crowded cafes. Stepping into the small café hidden in a maze of monumental buildings, I felt like getting into a little island-filled peace. A soft voice can be heard singing a song that sounds like a lullaby in a quiet background, as if people in the café were just shadows. After enjoying that last song that sounded like bliss, I decided to line up and order an iced caramel macchiato. In front of me was a young man wearing a fit white polo, tucked in his chino, with a black leather belt that looked expensive, securing its position.
