Americans began to develop an appreciation of wilderness that led to early expressions of concerns about its destruction. In your own life, what aspects of nature and natural resources are you most concerned about losing? Discuss why they are significant to you and our society.

Natural Forests
Nature and natural resources are vital for human survival. Nature provides us with the basic needs that we need, for example, food. Most of the food we eat comes from nature, for instance, through agriculture. Therefore, it is paramount that we take care of these natural resources from any form of unnecessary destruction.
