WK 8 330 North America and Africa have experienced numerous cases of organized crimes, although the levels differ. Organized crime entails various forms of criminal behaviors that affect specific regions differently. Although organized crime is present in Africa, the severity is less pronounced than in North America. In North America, there are very notorious levels of organized crimes, which have affected many people across the world. The significant crimes in North America and Africa include smuggling, bank robberies, city gangs, and drug trafficking (Shaw & Reitano, 2019). These crimes are more pronounced in North America because of the culture and urbanization. Large cities, such as New York, are home to numerous criminal gangs that participate in different crimes, such as robbery and drug trafficking. While these crimes are present in Africa, the severity is relatively low. In North America, the response to organized crime is strategic and targets critical institutions within the region.
