The dual court system allows municipal and state courts to tailor legal interpretations, processes, and verdicts to the needs of their respective communities. The dual court system permits federal law matters to be heard and resolved in federal courts, while state law cases are heard and decided. It distinguishes between state and federal courts. Because one court size does not meet all variances presented by federalism, the United States Constitution allows for a dual court system.
