There were two economical changes in the USA that have made an impact in their present times. Moreover, the economy of the USA today is a product of the past.
The Coolidge Prosperity is one of them and this happened when Calvin Coolidge was the president of the United States. His term was from 1923 to 1929 and the conservativism in his policies supported that era. By removing taxes and starting legislations, this paved the way for more private businesses to emerge. Furthermore, he discussed about thrifting and this is why Coolidge deserves recognition why the economy succeeded in the 1920s (Sullivan, 2017).
Another economical change that occurred in the USA was consumerism, which is a theory that attracts the infinite consumption of goods and services. There was an increase in Consumerism in the 1920s because of the technological innovations, fresh ideas, and inventions that were made for better communication, manufacturing, and travel. This is a significant time for America because they shifted from avoidance of debt and better marketing strategies. Newspapers and radios were widely used to improve their sales using consumer credit.
