Introduction
Trisomy 21 is also known as Down’s syndrome. It is genetic and occurs when there is an extra copy of chromosome 21 (Tiwari et al., 2020). Children diagnosed with the condition suffer from heart defects such as Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO). PFO is a small opening in the wall between the atria. This paper will focus on a 14-month-old child diagnosed with PFO and Trisomy 21. It will address the diagnosis, developmental achievement, and prognosis.
