In the realm of marketing, a successful branding strategy is one of the most important contributors to organizational success. A solid branding strategy can help add visibility and credibility to a company’s products.
Similarly, nurse-scholars can build a personal brand to add visibility and credibility to their work. You can begin building your brand by developing and maintaining an academic portfolio. Such an activity can help share the results of your efforts and contribute to your success. This Week’s Discussion asks you to consider and share strategies for building your portfolio.

Nursing portfolios are critical in informing potential employers about my capabilities as the first impression. In my opinion, nurses can express their achievements using portfolios throughout their professional journey. However, the professionals can utilize several strategies to demonstrate their personal growth in the nursing portfolio (Mollahadi et al., 2018). Notably, an e-portfolio is a way of keeping track of various academic activities and accomplishments through an individual’s career, especially on a virtual platform (Cope & Murray, 2018). The e-portfolios entail well-established practices of demonstrating progress, archiving college coursework, and providing evidence of attaining the set learning outcomes. Students can use various strategies in outlining and demonstrating their achievements in an e-portfolio. Outlining short/long term goals and sharing clinical experiences are the main strategies for providing such information.
