Public Health Care versus Private Health Care
Private health care is the kind of treatment where one gets medical attention from a certain medical officer preferably at home. Public health acre is where the person attends a health institution for the purpose of treatment. There are various differences and include: the cost of treatment privately is much more expensive (Brekke & Sørgard, 2007). The medical attendant usually charges higher. On the other hand in public institutions one is charged less as the government caters for some expenses. The second difference is that public health may not be provided to the fullest due to the instances of large number of sick persons compared to recourses available. Private attendants are usually with the necessary resources. The other difference is that public health is funded by citizens through taxes while private health is funded by individuals willing to venture into private hospitals (Hsiou & Pylypchuk, 2012).
